With a fleet of over 80 vehicles responding from 8 locations throughout Rhode Island, dispatched with the most modern electronic dispatching equipment. In 1990, starting with one ambulance and two trained crews, New England Ambulance began providing medical transportation services to those in need in the greater Providence area. Today, John Vernancio, President and CEO of New England Ambulance, employs more than 225 highly trained and dedicated employees dispatched from our modern facility in Johnston or from one of our satellite locations in Middletown, Narragansett, Pawtucket, Providence, Warwick, Warren, and Woonsocket. New England Ambulance is the official Ambulance of the Pawtucket Red Sox, Providence Bruins, and The Dunkin Donut Center, Providence (formerly The Providence Civic Center). New England Ambulance also provides service for The Providence College Men's Basketball Team and Bryant College Football.

NEA News and Events

New England Ambulance is the first Ambulance Service in New England to use State of the Art Sanitation Equipment to prevent spread of viruses such as H1N1 from patient to patient in the back of our Ambulances. Also, NEA has offered the use of this cutting edge technology to local Fire Department Rescues in the Providence MMRS area.

New England Ambulance is chosen by Hasbro Children's Hospital to be it's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit's Ambulance Provider.

New England Ambulance has been chosen by Rhode Island Disaster Initiative (RIDI), a specialized Disaster Response Team, and Critical Care Transport Team based at Rhode Island Hospital, to be it's Ambulance Service Provider.
